Moose Antler and Chief Carving
Dennis Halitsky was born in Northern Alberta, he spent many hours studying the wildlife of the area and reproducing their beautiful forms in moose antlers and soft stones.
Since moose and deer shed their antlers and grow a new set each year, this source of material for carving seemed natural to use. The end result is the combination of the handiwork of nature and craftsmanship of the artist.
Each piece is individually hand carved in exact detail, and no two pieces are the same. Dennis has been carving full time for the past 15 years. Creating custom pieces is about a third of his work, many of his carvings are sold to collectors and galleries in North America and Asia.
